What God’s Law In The Bible Is About Sex Before Marriage.

To fully grasp what I’m talking about; one will have to have a certain level of open-mindedness, as well as a mature understanding of life through experience on an emotional, mental, physical and spiritual level. One who has intensely studied their dreams out of a desire for truth and has greatly increased their self-awareness through meditation will also have a snowball’s chance in hell; understanding completely what it is that I’m talking about here.

“Now,” let me start off by acknowledging that, “No,” I am not married. “And…” Like many guys, “Yes,” I’ve had sex with multiple women. Clearly; by biblical definition; this fact alone makes me a sinner, “Hands down.”

However, “Despite my short comings,” it hasn’t escaped my notice that each time I’ve sexually done whatever I wanted to do, with whomever I wanted to do it with, “Without regard for the Lord,” the problems in my life multiplied. Life in general became more difficult. However, whenever I’ve followed the cues the Lord has given me pertaining to sex and everything else, “Life has always gotten easier.”

We know from the book of Ruth, and other places in The Bible, that there is a case to be made for sex before marriage. “But…” Anyone can see; it’s not enough in the Lord’s eyes for you to take the David Crosbie approach and simply, “Love the one you’re with.” God makes it very clear that we are to, “Marry the one we’re with.”

Exodus 22:16, “And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife.” Deuteronomy 22:28-29, “If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel’s father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.”

The above passages are just two examples of what God had to say about sex before marriage and there’s nothing I’m aware of in the New Testament that definitively cancels these rules out. God clearly saw that man might have trouble holding back. So, our Lord made sure that the law was written in a way; making it clear that having sex with a person you’re not married to yet signifies that “you will” marry them, “Quickly!”

Are there exemptions from the above rule? “Yes.” Anyone who has read The Bible from cover to cover with a clear mind knows God prefers that we be obedient to Him; following his written law being secondary to His direct guidance.

This doesn’t mean sex before marriage is totally acceptable. “And…” What’s written in The Bible certainly does strongly suggest that you be damn straight sure your desire is in accordance with God’s will, “Not your own,” especially where something like sex before marriage is concerned.
