When we go out in public and protest our president, “What exactly are we proving other than our own ignorance?” For us Christians who routinely engage in public protests in general; how many of us have actually stopped to consider “Who” we’re actually protesting? I mean, “Why do we protest at all if we each truly have a personal relationship with the Lord?”
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good.
But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
When I read about protesters in NYC and other major cities across the USA who are against President Trump my mind goes to the above quoted passages from my King James Bible, which are found in Romans 13:1-7. As you can see for yourself The Bible clearly tells us that those in charge of us have been granted rule over us by none other than the Lord. Clearly; this holds true even if a person such as President Trump doesn’t appear to be a God fearing person.
“Yet,” because of the freedoms granted to us here in America, even Christians are involved in public protests against our president and other aspects of life “Under Law” in the United States. Therefore, in light of biblical directives we Christians all espouse to follow, “Why are we not acknowledging God’s clear hand in the election of President Trump?”
Rather than taking to the streets to “publicly” protest our president and policy of the American Government in general; would our time not be better spent developing our personal relationships with the Lord? If we are true believers in God; why are we not acknowledging the real reason that we’ve been handed such a leader as President Trump, which quite frankly is, “We deserve nothing better and more than likely one hell of a lot worse.”
It is “we” the people who have allowed such individuals into our Government; our own stupidity leading us to the point which we are at right now. But rather than own this fact; many Christians, right along with the rest of the idiots in our population, will undoubtedly continue to take to the streets with public displays of anger rather than banding together to ask the Lord for His forgiveness.
No protest in NYC, or any other city in the United States is going to prevent our dissension into hell as a nation; we being our own worst enemies at this point. Only through serious effort will we ever be able to regain a reasonable semblance of sanity with regard to what is happening with our government and in America in general. “And,” the only way that is going to happen is if we go back to the basics this country was founded upon, by people who had enough brains to, “Put God First.”
