Technology and Housekeeping Tips Plus Visionary Moments in Newton, NJ Apartments

Thursday, January 22, 2026: 6:31 AM: It sounds like my downstairs neighbor is doing laundry again. It’s kind of hard not to when you have a dog. I give her credit for wanting to get it out of the way so early in the morning.

It’s Housekeeping Thursday again and I’m thinking I might have my own laundry done by lunch time. I need a shower, too, which will give me an excellent opportunity to give the tub and all a good scrub.

I need to get more sponges from Amazon if the price is right. The place isn’t atrocious, but there’s room for improvement. More sponges and possibly a squeegee will help things along.

Vacuum cleaner bags are in good supply. The new mop head is on its handle and ready to party. I’ve got enough Palmolive, Windex, and Barkeepers Friend to choke a horse ten times over. So, I don’t think I’ll be running out of the essentials mid-stream.

The trick is going to be getting rid of the cardboard without breaking my neck. But I’m sure I will figure it out. And… If I don’t figure it out, Goldberg Realty Assoc will be figuring something out should I sustain a serious injury due to their neglect of this property. One way or another, things will get done.

I did have an interesting vision this morning about my downstairs neighbor and her other half. It was around 11:00 AM in the morning and I was unlocking my apartment to go in. Her other half was coming into the building and didn’t acknowledge me when I said hello. He just looked at me for a few seconds and then entered the apartment.

When I opened the door to my apartment, I found my downstairs neighbor and her other half in my living room. As I stepped in, she was saying to him, “You gave up only after two and a half hours?” She sounded disappointed and all he kept saying was, “Come on. We have to go.”

It was a strange vision. It felt like springtime. Everything was fresh, warm and dry.

As to the meaning of this vision though, I’m not sure. I suspect it might be hinting at the possibility of my own senses strengthening with regard to what goes on in and around this building. I’ve begun to suspect that already, and the dream is a good reminder to keep employing the tools I have to dampen my senses when my connection with the building gets to be too much.

Thursday, January 22, 2026: 8:03 AM: Come Read and Research Tuesday, I want to take a deep dive into the accessibility settings for OneDrive, iCloud, Dropbox and Google Drive. We’ll see which cloud storage companies are easily managed via the web interface easily enough and which ones aren’t. I’m managing OneDrive and iCloud ok as it is. But things could be better. How much better? “That’s a good question.”

Thursday, January 22, 2026: 9:47 AM: Did I say I was getting my laundry done before noontime? That’s just not happening. But the bathroom looks good. In the meantime, I need to get out of here and get some air. When I come back home, “I’ll do more.”
