Wealth Building for The Blind, Intuition, Winter Weather, and Website Strategies

Sunday, January 25, 2026: 9:15 PM: Dream of Dad this morning and nephew calls me this evening. Somehow, I’ve got a feeling that my nephew is going to be busy this week. So, I’m going to let him reach out again when he’s ready. That seemed to be what the dream was advising, anyway.

I finished reading Anne Rice’s “Beauty’s Release” this evening, the little birdy indicating yesterday that I really needed to get on with it. This book seemed to end a bit more cleanly than other works of Anne’s, leaving me with the sense that I don’t need to read “Beauty’s Kingdom” at all. As I understand it, Anne Rice originally published these books using the pen name, A. N. Roquelaure but felt safe enough after a while to associate her real name with them.

It sounds like we’ve got quite a bit of snow on the ground out there, at least six inches of it. I’m guessing they’ll be plowing late into the night and dealing with the sidewalks before dawn, too. I think they did take a pass at the sidewalks this afternoon, but I’m not certain for sure, choosing to focus on things like getting last week’s journal entries on my site.

I need to get next month’s budget set up tomorrow and make sure all my bank statements have been caught up. This also includes getting my tax stuff together so I can deliver it into CPA Mike Murphy’s hands.

After listening to Mel Robbins podcast with David Bach about managing money, I want to see what Copilot has to say about building wealth when blind or otherwise disabled. What are the recommended strategies then? Some of that research will probably spill over into Readd and Research Tuesday.

After I make sure Brian Schnabel’s Head Space has an updated sitemap.xml file during this week’s Programming Wednesday, I want to look into accessibility settings regarding cloud storage. Everything email wise has been set up to work with a screen reader and web browser quite nicely. I think I need to do a better job stripping down Firefox, as well, making it a more efficient test browser.

This Housekeeping Thursday, that Oreck vacuum needs to be laid to rest. I got a decade out of it, so I can’t complain. “I got my $145 worth!”

This Back Posting Friday, I should have the last week of November 2025 completed, if not the full second half of that month. I’ve begun ignoring the traditional guidelines for SEO limits on post title length and meta description character limits. If my suspicions are correct, Google and Bing will display the parts of my posts, meta descriptions and titles they choose based upon the searches done on their websites.

I’ll also be a bit more selective as to how long some posts will be depending upon the content, knowing that certain topics require a more focused page to be generated to draw traffic. Other pages won’t see any search traffic and won’t be read unless someone goes tripping through. That’s always been the way online no matter what you do. “I’m cool with that!”
