Sleep’s secret passage: Uncovering the veiled hours of rest.

I didn’t get that much sleep again last night, although I’m thinking I probably got more than I realized. It’s a strange phenomenon that’s been going on with me increasingly over the past decade. “I fall asleep for sometimes hours at a time without knowing I slept.”

Occasionally, I’ll catch myself having one of these episodes, thinking only five minutes have passed by when I’ve actually slept for three hours. It’s strange because I usually sense the transition through an interruption in sound. But… “It is what it is.”

I did run a freestyle meditation for a while, too. I was feeling rather raggedy and had a few things to discuss with The Big Guy. He probably didn’t hear me though, and that’s probably just as well. Either way, “I feel a little better about things for the moment.”
