My mail got stuck in April: You can’t trust anyone!

I came in from dinner out with a friend and awesome walk-through town to find a letter from the NJ Department of Community Affairs Housing program waiting for me. Written on Thursday, April 11th and post stamped Wednesday, April 17th, I shouldn’t be worried about the state of affairs in my environment when I just received it in the mail, today, Saturday, May 25th, “Right?”

Now I understand why the gentleman that came to inspect my apartment seemed confused when I told him I had received a letter telling me he was to arrive on Thursday, May 23rd, instead of Thursday, May 9th. This letter was intended to cancel the inspection for May 23rd made in the first letter I received on time. But, no worries, as I’ve already received the letter in the mail telling me that I passed the inspection. “Got to love Bureaucracy!”

Fortunately for me, I am generally in the right place at the right time when stupid stuff like this happens. Even still though, this kind of crap doesn’t really enhance my level of trust for Janel Winter’s NJ Department of Community Affairs Housing Program or Louis DeJoy’s United States Post Office.

A lot of days of late I’m finding it hard to trust anyone anymore. There’s just way too much Greed, incompetence, and prejudice around me in places I never really expected to see it. But… I guess, “This too shall pass!”

At least the Big Guy still likes me. “That’s what I like to think, anyway!”
