Tonight was all about refining the concept of industry representatives whose names reflect their disciplines rather than corporate or government affiliations. I settled on a tentative list of names to use for a 14-member council, which is as follows:

- Med (Medicine)
- Psyche (Mental Health)
- Forge (Industry)
- Grid (Energy)
- Vault (Finance)
- Lens (Media)
- Shield (Defense)
- Signal (Intelligence)
- Orbit (Aerospace)
- Gene (Life Sciences)
- Brief (Law)
Microsoft 365 Copilot suggests that the strongest character names for dialogue and symbolism are Vault, Lens, Signal, Shield, Gene, and Psyche. I’ll have to sleep on that one, but for now… “It’s a workable list for what I have in mind.”
