Experimental Meditation Technique

Friday, September 25, 2026, 4:23 AM: Sleep was only a two-hour-and-twenty-seven-minute affair, starting at nine fifty-three and ending at twelve twenty-nine, with a few brief wake-up periods totaling nine minutes. It could have been worse. But it gave me time to play around with some meditation techniques.

I can still work with the Three-Two-One Method that Jose Silva’s system uses for getting to center. In Silva’s system, the number three is for physical relaxation. I just need to remember that, when relaxing my body, I simply move my awareness to the elemental chakras in the sequence suggested in Neven Paar’s book, Magus.

The sequence by chakra number I’ve been working with is one, four, two, three. I’ve been effectively relaxing my body in this manner. Actually, it’s quite a rush.

The number two in the Three-Two-One Method for getting to center is for mental relaxation. At this point, where Silva suggests imagining tranquil scenes, I have imagery from nature associated with each of the four elements to lose myself in. It’s a bit crazy how much planning I need to do ahead of time to pull off a successful meditation session. But it is what it is.

In the Silva System, the number one represents center. Needless to say, I work on the matters I want to resolve once I arrive there.

How well does it work when it comes to environmental tweaking? That remains to be seen. I can’t say it’s any better than other methods I’ve used in the past. But my sense is that it will be more effective than anything I’ve done thus far. The thing to remember is to stay focused on what I want without worrying about the steps to get there.
