Wednesday, October 7, 2026: 7:22 AM: I’ve still been wrestling with this sleep thing, having gotten only about four and a half hours this morning. But I feel okay, so I’m putting it out of my mind. Beyond that, I’ve come to understand a few things.
- Earth grounds me physically: Robin Sharma would call that Healthset.
- Air grounds me mentally: Robin Sharma would call that Mindset.
- Water grounds me emotionally: Robin Sharma would call that Heartset.
- Fire grounds my spirit: Robin Sharma would call that Soulset.
- God grounds my entire being: Robin Sharma doesn’t have anything for that, but I’m running with it anyway.
Other things I’ve come to understand:
- There is magic in relaxing deeply and committing to an action or plan. For instance, I made up my mind to get through all of my benefit recertifications this year without a hitch, and I succeeded beyond my expectations.
- Doubt is the motherfucker of all endeavors, destroying the power of intention.
- At this point, I do not need a fancy meditation script to accomplish what I want. I just need to decide that I’m going to carry out a task while at Center and act on that decision, knowing it will be done and, at some level, already is.
- Visualization is hit or miss for me, but partially or fully recalling sensations helps me relax. The true end game is to relax before concerning myself with anything I may or may not do.
- When I shift into the decision-making phase of any meditation, sensations in my body will strongly indicate what I truly need to do going forward.
And that’s it. Going forward, I’ll use the four elements and their corresponding chakras to relax during meditation before shifting into the work that creates life’s true magic.
