Possible Changes Trigger Sleep Success

Aries Glyph and Constellation

Friday, November 6, 2026: 5:32 PM: I have been sleeping for about five and a half to six and a half hours a night over this past week and doing ok with that. I’m able to fall asleep around nine in the evening and sleep until at least two thirty in the morning. I suspect that this has something to do with my changing my intermittent fasting window from 6:00 PM through 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM through 5:00 AM, which is when I get up. But, since I only fast on those days when I have stuff like pizza or bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches, I am aware that there’s more to the story. Other things that might have helped are things like getting off the computer around 7:00 PM, cutting back to only one 30-minute meditation session daily, and no midday naps. I don’t know if this will continue but for now it seems to be working.

Author: Brian Schnabel

I am Brian Schnabel, The Newtonian Witch. I write about consciousness, meditation, dreams, intuition, manifestation, and the strange territory where inner experience meets everyday reality. My approach is experimental. Rather than accepting a technique simply because a teacher, tradition, or book says it works, I want to experience it for myself. I try things. I observe. I journal. I question. I change the experiment and try again. That process has gradually become a form of witchcraft in its own right: a conscious practice of working with attention, intention, language, intuition, and personal transformation. I don't pretend to possess absolute answers about why every experience happens or what every coincidence means. That's part of the adventure. I'm interested in exploring honestly, including the successes, failures, doubts, surprises, and unanswered questions. This is where I write about it.
