Friday, November 6, 2026: 6:06 PM: Over the past week I’ve been doing two things that really have been helpful in improving the way I feel. Firstly: When I wake up earlier than 5:00 AM, I drop into meditation mode, running my scripts out loud, all with the aim of simply staying centered. I only work on that which forces itself to the forefront of my mind in a disruptive manner using simple techniques, killing off tension in my body as I go. Secondly: I don’t wear gym clothes full-time around the house anymore as it would seem my mind subconsciously tends to associate them with pajamas. Dressing as if I expect guests or planned to go out seems to increase my energy level as well as help me focus on writing my book and other projects. While having to do more laundry because of this change will suck, I think the benefits it’s likely to bring going forward will be worth it.

I am Brian Schnabel, The Newtonian Witch.
I write about consciousness, meditation, dreams, intuition, manifestation, and the strange territory where inner experience meets everyday reality.
My approach is experimental. Rather than accepting a technique simply because a teacher, tradition, or book says it works, I want to experience it for myself. I try things. I observe. I journal. I question. I change the experiment and try again.
That process has gradually become a form of witchcraft in its own right: a conscious practice of working with attention, intention, language, intuition, and personal transformation.
I don't pretend to possess absolute answers about why every experience happens or what every coincidence means. That's part of the adventure. I'm interested in exploring honestly, including the successes, failures, doubts, surprises, and unanswered questions.
This is where I write about it.
