I love a good thunderstorm, and I certainly wasn’t disappointed by the storms that rolled through the neighborhood today. I wasn’t out on the front porch when the main event took place, which is just as well. Even though the porch has an overhang, “I would have gotten pretty wet!”

Forecast flip-flops: Why trust the advanced heatwave forecast?
It really was nice out today. I hear things are going to get quite hot over the next few days but, “I’ll believe it when I see it.”

The fish sticks and shrimp have been delivered to my friend’s apartment and Mom’s card is in the mail. It’s hard to believe that Mother’s Day is only a week and a half away. But everything I needed to do is now done with a little help from a friend and yet, “I feel mentally fried this evening!”

The soft drizzle was a welcome companion as I made my way through the busy streets; the teleprompter awake in my head and guiding me as to which way would be the safest to go to my destination. “Think of this teleprompter like a GPS giving up to the minute traffic reports and you’ll get the picture.”

Got a nap in while waiting for the laundry to finish up in the drier in the laundry room here at Newtonian Gardens. The sun came out as I woke and headed downstairs to collect my dry clothes and now, “Here we are!”
