Well… I do believe I’m ready to print out that required application material for New Jersey Family Care Medicaid. Then I’m off to accompany a friend visiting Sussex Honda; them going to test drive a few cars there. The lease is expiring on their current vehicle and, “They like having the Dealership Doberman along for the ride for this stuff.”
The doggie in the apartment next door must have been having a bad hair night. “The critter was definitely restless!”
The pup sounds to be of a good size, and I could swear that there’s something in the lease about that. But… “It’s amazing how ballless most landlords becomes when there’s a check involved.”
But, on the other hand, you also have those tenants who play musical houses with their critters so they can dodge the pet fees imposed by those complexes that allow pets. It’s not fair to the dog but… I guess that when you’re an asshole, “You do asshole things!”
Of course, I have a different view on the matter because when I moved to Newtonian Gardens Apartments with Seeing Eye Dog number two, Goldberg Realty didn’t allow pets. People weren’t happy that I moved in with a German Shepherd. I think the only reason they learned to accept it over time was because I made damn straight sure my guides behaved, “As they should!”
Dog number two, Shelby, needed to learn quickly that she wasn’t living in a small house on top of a mountain anymore and there were a few neighbors who needed a bit of training as well. But… Me being me with my radiating personality and charm, “We got there in the end.”
These days… With everyone and their mother trying to pass dogs off for something they aren’t, especially when they clearly can’t afford to really have one in the first place… Yeah… I’m disgusted with companies like Goldberg Realty, Walmart, Shoprite, and so on for not having the balls to stand up to people when they pull this bullshit.
It’s not fair to the dogs, or the people who have to be around when this crap is going on. “It can make things downright dangerous for a dog guide and handler as well!”
A lot of people’s dogs lack discipline. In a store or restaurant this can be a hazard that is growing more prevalent all the time. As I contemplate dog number four, “I’m looking at all of this and wondering if there really should be a number four.”
Some days you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t. “There are checks and balances when it comes to everything.”
Some days I give up on this stuff. Society really does need to take a beat to think things through and as a whole, “We’re not!”
Equal rights and equal access are the biggest running joke anymore because the existing laws aren’t being enforced and all the minorities want to do is create more. There is a part of me that wonders if the end game here isn’t something along the lines of an Apartheid social structure that gives some minorities a higher social status than others. “That’s what it feels like they’re up to some days!”
The laws are already on the books. Why not gun for getting the existing ones enforced before you make more demands. If the existing laws are enforced you might not need to demand more unless, “It’s just about power!”
As it is I do know one thing for certain. If you are a minority disabled or blind person, even the minorities will disown you, “Including your own.”
Which now leads me to my next question. If you don’t know how to treat the disabled in your own minority group, how good are you at treating other minorities? Where are we going with this stuff? At what point does it end? Is Black Lives Matter, Me Too, or any of the other stuff going on out there right now really about equality anymore? From where I sit, it would seem that all anyone really is trying to do is get a leg up and over the next guy. In my mind, “It’s sick!”
