Tuesday, October 20, 2026: 7:29 AM: You know, I’m reading The 5AM Club by Robin Sharma this morning, if anybody’s interested. It’s kind of one of my go-to books, but anyhow, something clicked in my head: I walked away from therapy because I started looping. It got to be way too much to constantly dredge up ancient history again and again and again while trying to deal with what was currently going on at the time.
Now I find myself questioning why I waste so much time discussing my idiot brother, who is no longer with us. Actually, not basically. He is no longer with us.
And, of course, there is my dear, sweet father, who, as far as I’m concerned, is about as trustworthy as… well, if I’m going to hang out with Dad, I might as well start making appointments to go see Ted Bundy. If he were still alive, that is. You know, Ted Bundy, the serial killer.
But anyway, my whole point is that these people occupy way too much of my time and do not deserve the effort they’re given in conversation. They’re irrelevant now. At least, that’s my take on it. Other people might not see it that way, but I really do think, for myself, that my time would be better spent discussing far more fun things, like what I’m gonna do with the money my book generates after it becomes a bestseller.
