Turning Off Activity Rings on Apple Watch SE 3

Tuesday, June 30, 2026: 12:25 PM: Today will be the 105th in which I close all objectives set on my Apple watch model SE 3. Starting tomorrow morning, I will be kicking things off in the month of July by simply allowing my watch to monitor without reminding me of what I need to do all of the time. After 105 days, I do believe I have successfully managed to set a solid habit of exercise into my daily life in a way that is second nature. Therefore, I feel confident that it’s safe to move from depending on the device for guidance and simply use it to monitor my progress. If this action turns out to be an epic failure, I’ll just change the settings again and proceed as I started out. But, in all honesty, “I’ve got this!”

Tuesday, June 30, 2026: 1:28 PM: Copilot isn’t always the most accurate consultant on certain things, like software settings, even if you do tell it the exact version. However, upon further investigation, it would seem that Copilot is correct in stating that everything I need settings wise to convert my Apple SE 3 watch from Exercise Coach to monitor can be found under settings/Activity.

Copilot is also correct that once a ring is established, you can only pause it for up to 90 days, which is fine by me. Apparently, if you pause a ring the watch stops recording data, which is something I don’t want it to do. So, after all three rings are close today, I will turn off “Stand Reminders”, and switch “Send to Notification Center” to Off.
