the little birdie’s prophecy: Medicaid until 2025.

The little birdies prediction about me getting something from either family care or my Primary Health care provider in the mail the other day came true. He hit that one out of the park, a notice coming from Sussex County’s Department of Social Services that I’m still eligible for Medicaid through New Jersey’s FamilyCare program.

They’re saying I’m good to go from now until July 31, 2025. But I’m not sure how that works because I know that my Medicaid insurance currently runs from October 1, 2023, until September 30, 2024, based on last year’s paperwork.

At least that’s my understanding anyway. Maybe they are going to constantly be changing the timetables?

I have no idea what’s going on there. But we’ll just have to play it by ear and roll with it as it goes. I’m just glad that the process is over right now. Medicaid recertification being over makes for one less financial question mark to concern myself with for the time being and from where I sit, “That’s a beautiful thing!”

When county or state administered programs don’t need any more information from me, that makes me very happy. The stress I experience during recertifications goes up because I’ve already had some rather financially catastrophic experiences due to clerical errors in the past, which is why I’m as meticulous as humanly possible in the way things are handled on my end.

Now, if only the little birdie would tell me something about The State of New Jersey Department of Community Affairs Housing program. That recertification process is still on going and it’s a monkey I’d really like to get off my back right now.
